Explore the Park

In the Spring of 2007, the Daughters of the American Revolution were instrumental in placing a large stone monument on the future historic park site to commemorate the Patriot soldiers that fought for our freedom. The completed Battlefield Park opened in 2011 and features a quarter mile trail that winds through the historic battlefield and features interpretive signs, an outdoor amphitheater, a recreation of the Causeway from 1775, and a family picnic area.

Walk the Trails

Also in the park, a nature trail features a footbridge, courtesy of Dominion Energy, which is the starting point of Marsh Overlook Trail. The Dominion Footbridge leads to local Eagle Scout Adam Hill's viewing tower, which provides an uninterrupted view of the marsh, similar to what people in the 1700s would have seen in Great Bridge.
