It is official, construction has begun!

We hope that you have had a chance to drive past the future site of the Great Bridge Battlefield & Waterways Historic Park & Visitor Center. Countless individuals have remarked at how the progress is tremendous! With the clearing complete, and the next steps in the Park Construction Phase well under way, the Foundation has received a remarkable amount of new, and renewed, support of our cause! The construction of the Battlefield Historic Park & Visitor Center will assure that generations to come will be able to learn about the rich history of both the Battle of Great Bridge and the waterways of our region. The Foundation would like to thank all of our generous sponsors, donors, volunteers and members that make this project possible!

Capital Campaign

The Foundation is pleased to announce that we have raised $4,272,208 in Gifts & Pledges towards our $7,000,000 Capital Campaign Goal. This support includes individuals, businesses, grants, government, and gift-in-kind support to date. 

Donations to the Capital Campaign go toward the planning, construction and maintenance of the project. It is significant that more than 150 individuals, 17 civic groups and 24 corporations have donated to this mission.We are so thankful for the support of the entire community for this project!

As a non-profit 501c3 , donations are tax deductible to the full extent allowed under the law. This project is not possible without the support of our gracious donors. Annual Patriot Membership Fund

We are happy to report that our 2009-2010 Annual Patriot Membership has nearly tripled since last fiscal year!

What does you annual membership donation support?

Your generous annual membership donation will go to support the day-to-day operational costs of the Great Bridge Battlefield & Waterways History Foundation. This includes office supplies, mailing fees & postage, staff cost, printing costs and a wide variety of other daily expenses incurred when running an office. These operating funds are vital to the progress of this project, and to the Foundation as a whole. Memberships begin at $20 per household, and are good for one fiscal year.
